I deliberated how much exposition I wanted to include here, but I decided to go ahead and get it all out.

This series begins in 1983, earth years. About 1.5 to 2 years on average separates each chapter, so this is about 1988 now. Supirion orbits Sirius B, which is roughly 8 light years away, so they're currently receiving earth radio signals from 1980. Since the bugers developed the technology to receive and interpret earth radio signals, earth media has become all the rage so there are posters for MASH and Cheers in the background of the first panel. See how much thought I put into making these dumb little comic for you?

Anyway, nothing like a crisis to divert our attention from an emotional scene, eh? Me-Me ain't off the hook yet, though. The can has just been kicked down the road.

Tell me this: would you get off your butt and go fight for a city that had just fired your best pal from the job of defending a city? I know I would. For fat checks.

Now the previously wrong page should have been uploaded, haha :D
Are you guys testing if I am paying attention? I do! I only sometimes slip on past events due to binge reading back then...
...
Right. LMAO

I remember the page (I hope) so here goes. I find it surprising Causeway is like: "Whatever." although I feel like he simply said that because Jeff is out of the picture. Almost like he is trying to convince everyone to leave him :/
Hard to say without giving more thought but I think MT is probably one of the most sensible and common sense abiding characters :D
It is more than their job. They want keep the city safe!

Lore in comments is much appreciated! Smilans have one heck of a tech to reach that far! Or are there stations amplifying it in space? :O

(I hope I am remembering this right....)

HA! I can't believe I screwed up again. It'll be our public comments secret!

But yeah, Causeway works hard at his nonchalance. He's too cool to get concerned about things! Mop-Top, is of course, the one with a sense of duty. Me-Me shares that to a degree, but he and Causeway are mostly just in it for adventure (Causeway likes the acclaim, too)!

The smilans have some great tech in a very limited capacity. The smilans themselves are very stupid, and struggle to keep of with the tech that is devised for them by two other races: the bugers and the blugers. These races are stationary: they can't move about freely, so the smilans give them stuff to do, and in return, their society progresses. Sounds like a pretty good trade, right? Supirion also has a lot of natural satellites with science stations on them (one of those satellites is also the headquarters of a certain sneaky villain!).

Well, you can't let space monsters get out of control.
Just look at Earth.

(I think the car might be the wrong colour)

"Just look at earth" Ha! Are you referring to Ghidorah, or Donald Trump?

I think the new name for that car is the Pumpkinmobile
